SUMMARY

As an Environmental Services Assistant, you will perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain all aspects of facility cleanliness. Your attention to detail and commitment to customer service is extremely important.

STATUS: Full Time, Part Time & Per Diem available

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Environmental Services

SCHEDULE: Flexible Scheduled Needed

ATTRIBUTES

Previous environmental services experience is preferred
Ability to understand English
Ability to prioritize and follow verbal and written instructions
Customer service driven

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleaning & Maintenance. Follow a written schedule to complete the approved cleaning process task sheet; dispose of regulated medical waste/trash; set up and/or clean conference rooms and common areas; operate mechanical floor cleaners (as assigned)
Policy & Procedure. Adhere to all uniform, attendance, departmental and organizational policies and procedures
Prioritization. Display good judgment when prioritizing multiple requests or responsibilities

VIEW JOBS SUMMARY The Nursing Program Director is responsible for the implementation and oversight of academic and clinical quality for the Registered Nurse Program in concert with the Administrative Leadership Team. The RN Program Director will use evidence based clinical, educational and quality approaches to provide leadership in improving and achieving program outcomes. This position provides support for faculty at RGCOHC and provides leadership oversight in selecting and advising students, for curriculum development and program revisions, program evaluations, teaching in the classroom and clinical setting, evaluation of student achievement, and other matters as assigned in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of the school. ATTRIBUTES * Master's degree in nursing required from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education * A minimum of Five (5) years academic teaching and leadership experience preferred * A minimum of Seven (7) years of Nursing experience * Registered Nurse License in New York State is required * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the AHA is required RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides leadership for the RN program * Works with the Administrative Leadership to facilitate appropriate program development, implementation, evaluation and assessment * Ensures systematic review of RN program to ensure quality and current course content, best practice and achievement of regulatory standards * Performs other duties as assigned * Serves on committees as assigned * Reports to the Nurse Administrator/Director/Vice President PERSONNEL DUTIES * Participates in interviewing and makes recommendations for hiring of faculty * Arranges for coverage of classes during absences and emergency leaves * Promotes rapport within the department, College, and community * Posts and keeps office hours per week that are convenient to students who seek assistance with counseling, academic advising, coursework or other school matters * Models professional behavior and standards of practice while in the workplace * Functions as a change agent and leader by promoting innovative practices in educational environments * Participates in professional development opportunities that increase one's effectiveness in the role * Participates in a minimum of 22 continuing education hours per year ADMINISTRATION * Participates in budget planning process * Attends and participates in faculty meetings * Participates in accreditation reviews and reports * Participates in further developing the RN program, evaluating and revising student policies, organizational framework and revising curriculam * Participates in recruitment, orientation, and coordination of students and faculty * Participates in the orientation and advisement of students * Attends and participates in program committees * Serves as a member of the assigned institutional committees CURRICULA * Oversee syllabi, including all course requirements and assignments, for all students * Submits suggestions for changes in syllabi, course or program to the Curriculum Co-Chairs * Designs and implements new curriculum * Participates in the evaluation of curriculum * Ensures curricula reflects institutional philosophy, mission, current healthcare trends and community needs EVALUATION * Participates in the evaluation of faculty * Reviews student evaluation summaries of assigned courses and utilize the feedback for planning and implementing future courses * Participates in program planning in response to student/program evaluation feedback and employer satisfaction surveys * Participate as assigned on program specific advisory boards or community events involving the major stakeholders served by the school * Participates in publicizing and disseminating information about the program KEYWORDS: #SJRN
