SUMMARY

EVENTS TECH SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION

The Events Tech Supervisor position is a direct report of the Events Tech Assistant Manager. This role interacts directly with assigned crew members. Responsible for planning, organizing and directing activities of associates in High Tech to ensure safe, smooth and efficient operations and providing the most exceptional leadership and customer service as possible.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

This position will require someone with a wide variety of event setup backgrounds to include operational experience. The ability to be able to multi-tasked and work under pressure is essential. This position also requires taking initiative in resolving current and potential issues regarding all aspects of the events setup operations. Includes being flexible with their schedule to ensure they are onsite for high-priority or special events.

KEY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

  • Plans and administers activities of the associates to ensure continuous operations and timely delivery of services.

  • Establishes priorities, assigns work, and monitors performance, quality and timeliness.

  • Assigns and re-assigns work based on workload and daily priorities.

  • Ticket Requests Handle all events team setup requests throughout the day and follow

setup schedule in the most efficient order when needed.

  • Responsible in dividing and conquering requests with the team in the most efficient

manner

Leadership

  • Gives direction, motivation and guidance to the associates in order to accomplish established standards to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.

  • Plans, organizes, and directs short- and long-term departmental activities in accordance with regulatory and accrediting organizations.

  • Functions as a resource to staff and team members.

  • Communicates clearly and effectively with direct reports

  • Demonstrates effective oral communication skills in the following: active listening,

assertiveness, providing feedback/coaching, team building, and conflict management.

  • Demonstrates effective written communication skills in written reports.

Data Utilization

  • Assesses and utilizes appropriate data in order to improve operations. Views everything with a process improvement mindset.

Service Excellence

  • Promotes a customer service mindset at all times to both internal and external customers. Responds to all requests from customers with a can-do attitude. Follows up on requests

with a sense of urgency.

  • Demonstrates commitment to achieving client satisfaction and employee engagement

targets for the organization and department(s).

  • Practices and promotes customer service skills as provided through on-going ABM

training.

Human Resources

  • Schedules employees to ensure shift coverage and meet business demands and productivity goals.

  • Participates in monthly department meetings with Event Service staff and Events Tech Assistant Manager.

  • Assists as needed in the interviewing and hiring of employee team members with the appropriate skills.

  • Supports the departmental orientation onboarding so that employees receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.

  • Works collaboratively with Events Tech Assistant Manager to enforce guidelines so employees understand expectations and parameters while assisting in all staff training.

  • Practices and promotes the customer skills as provided through on-going training and in- services, including customer retention and service recovery.

  • Reviews client feedback to insure satisfaction results with employees.

Safety

  • Demonstrates knowledge of applicable safety regulations and safety policies/procedures. Ensures department compliance with all regulations and policies.

  • May participate in High Tech and/or ABM safety committees

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Position requirements- Essential Functions, Job Knowledge, Education/Experience:

Some College, High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant management experience is acceptable.

Job knowledge/Experience:

Must possess a minimum of two years of proven work experience in a leadership role within the janitorial, events set up or Operations field

Events team members are responsible for the setting up and removal of event equipment, tables and chairs and assistance with "back of house" event functions for all internal events. Event Technicians must be able to act independently on event sites with limited supervision while maintaining a professional attitude. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Understanding and implementing setup and operation of all equipment and furniture etc. * Ability to understand and execute what is needed for each event as well as the ability to communicate with other teammates, while being a team player. * Communicate with Event Producers effectively as well as take direction from our client as needed and keep communication with supervisors and leads regarding any changes, concerns or client request. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed according to client events schedule. * Assist with room configuration setup and tear down lifting is required. * Highest level of Customer Service is a must. * Demonstrates and upholds ABM Core Values. * Professionally groomed to company standards, specific location's standards, and to the standards of our clients. * Conduct safety practices during and after events is priority. * Assist with other assigned duties as needed based on business requirements.
