With minimal direction, manage and coordinate all regional and national meetings and all conferences for the Sales Division. Represent Sales as the liaison with Marketing on the management of all benefit fair and national tradeshow activity.
Responsible for researching and negotiating with outside vendors to identify acceptable site locations for all national Sales meetings; provide input and suggestion to senior Sales management on the development, logistics and implementation of agendas and presentations
Manage the event budget to ensure costs remain with guidelines
Develop and coordinate all aspects of events (includes regional and national events, meetings and conferences) such as scope, theme, communication pieces, staffing, logistics, facilities, meals, equipment, etc.
Participate in the budget development and ensure events are within established budget, track and allocate expenses to appropriate cost centers; prepare and submit reports based on event results
Develop and implement strategies for improving event effectiveness and participation based on statistical results from evaluations, surveys, and feedback from attendees; prepare and submit reports based on findings and recommendations for improvement
Manage the preparation, organization and execution of selected national tradeshows; oversee and approve participation requirements by providing input and guidance on appropriate marketing material and managing within budget
Prepare and submit reports and recommendations for future attendance and improvement
Represent Sales as the liaison with Marketing on national tradeshows; provide input, guidance and recommendations on participation, participants and appropriate marketing materials
Represent the Sales division on key department and corporate projects as requested by senior management; approve and oversee activities relative to the Sales division
Represent Sales in working with Marketing on the strategies for Benefit Fair activity for all VSP clients; monitor the expenses charged to the AE sales promo cost centers
Provide direction and input to Benefit Fair Team to ensure clients needs and expectations are being met
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Degree in Marketing, Training, Events Planning, Communications, Health Care or related field, or equivalent experience
Three years events planning experience in a corporate environment
Proven project management, analytical, and problem solving ability
Ability to manage all phases of multiple projects simultaneously, and adjust to continuously changing responsibilities and priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics applications
