Events Manager For College Relations

Position Summary

Belmont Abbey College invites applications for the current position of Events Manager for College Relations.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this full-time, twelve-month position will use his/her working knowledge of corporate event planning and excellent oral and written communication skills to produce events for the Office of College Relations at Belmont Abbey College. The Events Manager works closely with clients and team members to design and produce successful events for constituent groups and alumni.

The Events Manager will be responsible for the setup and breakdown of events. This position will report to the Associate Vice President of Administration in the Office of College Relations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning OR a combination of education, experience, and training. Successful candidates will possess strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to communicate sensitive information/feedback with tact and professionalism.

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively, and navigate a complex work environment. Experience with budgets, various technologies including advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, event management software, database and project management software, and CRM systems. Prior experience in event design, planning/management, advancement, fundraising, alumni engagement, non-profit, or a university setting.
