The Events Manager for Funky Buddha Brewery is directly responsible for activating the brand at events of all types, including in the trade (on- and off-premises) as well as special events, festivals, and other functions. This individual manages our involvement in over 400 events annually, and uses resources both internal and external to execute at the highest level. The Events Manager also hires, trains, and deploys our Street Team, a group of brand ambassadors that work on events and activations throughout the state of Florida.
This is a demanding position requiring an individual with strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills - plus the passion and drive to ensure Funky Buddha outmaneuvers its competition by showing up to events in exceptional fashion at a furious pace. Job duties include:
Manage Funky Buddha's "street team" of brand ambassadors, participating in activations, tastings, educational sessions, training, festivals, consumer samplings, and more.
Solicit, hire, train, schedule, and manage street team personnel across the state.
Use third party agency resources where appropriate while ensuring brand standards are upheld.
Execute trainings and hold staff accountable to Standard Operating Procedures and Brand Guidelines, and regularly conduct audits to ensure high performance.
Ensure all events are pre-planned and recapped properly with a high level of detail.
Execute FBB's involvement in a variety of events:
Organize, manage, and execute off-premises samplings at key retailers according to program schedules
Conduct on-premises promotions at bars and restaurants as directed by sales and marketing team
Identify, organize, manage, and execute product activations at sporting, public, art, and music events
Work with charitable organizations, using excellent reporting practices and good judgement to determine the best use of company resources
Solicit to major event organizers and gain access to marquee events
Ensure event information is communicated throughout the sales & marketing organizations
Purchase and maintain event equipment including pouring devices, signage, vehicles, mobile bars, and more.
Manage and adhere to event team budget, submitting detailed reports on a monthly basis.
Update master schedule on a weekly basis and maintain proper work ratio of admin time to event time (75% admin, 25% events)
Operating with a complete understanding of Florida liquor law and acting in compliance with it.
Personal vehicle carrying Personal Injury Protection and Uninsured Motorist coverage and proof thereof
Clean driving history free of DUI and related offenses
2 years experience in the beverage alcohol space
1 year experience managing direct reports
