Events & Foundation Specialist

Events & Foundation Specialist, FT, Piedmont Columbus Midtown

This position is responsible for raising funds to support Piedmont Healthcare by coordinating and implementing successful fundraising events at hospitals throughout the system each year. This will be accomplished through the coordination of event logistics such as secure event locations, engage with event committees and volunteers on a routine basis, assist with development of marketing materials, website development, invite donors and community members to events, invoicing for sponsorships, maintain all event financials and facilitate expense payments, stewardship communications, prepare routine reports, etc.

Additionally, this position will cultivate and assist in solicitation of some vendor sponsorships. This position is also responsible for Foundation board engagement including board orientation, board agenda and minutes, and regular board communication. Assists the Foundation team with implementing and executing employee giving campaign, preparing and sending check requests, assists with Raiser's Edge data entry to support gift officers fundraising efforts.

Additionally, this position will manage Foundation non-fundraising events such as donor cultivation events, physician-initiated events, and philanthropically funded donor events. This position will work with internal and external groups such as marketing, finance, volunteers, board members, and donors.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two (2) years of experience in a related field is required

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

None.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in Business Administration, Management, Health Care Administration, Communications or a closely related field preferred.

Experience working in healthcare preferred.

Experience with research and analysis of data preferred.

Experience with fundraising database, Raiser's Edge, preferred.
