Position Objective:

This role also provides logistics support for Chubb-sponsored events and hospitality programs, as required.


The Events Coordinator reports to the Assistant Vice President, Events and Sponsorships, Chubb North America


Provide support for Chubb-sponsored and industry events as appropriate.

  • Perform appropriate procurement processing activities, expense management, and invoice processing.

  • Handle all catering and food and beverage operations for scheduled events

  • Serve as on-site Chubb representative for select events and hospitality functions

  • Provide support for Chubb-sponsored and industry events including guest invitations, registration, management of hotel room blocks and other event logistics as assigned.

  • Schedule meetings and handle meeting logistics.

  • Support Events Team with PeopleSoft bill paying and Corporate AMX Meeting Card payments.

  • Accumulate budget detail from meetings to create a recap of spend.

  • Arrange video and teleconference calls, prepare meeting materials and assist with creating presentation materials.

  • Be knowledgeable in the process and accessible to support ticket request and approval process according to Chubb corporate policy for luxury suite.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree required

  • 3 Years of experience in an event marketing or hospitality role

  • Familiarity with contracts

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Professional orientation ability to work with senior level management

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail

  • Ability to travel

  • Accessible on nights and weekends as needed

VIEW JOBS 9/15/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-14T00:00 The Eastern Underwriting Center (EUC) is currently seeking a New Business Underwriter and Marketing Coordinator to join the Commercial Insurance New Business Solutions team in support of Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency (CISA). This position, located in Whitehouse Station, NJ, is a high-impact role that is 100% focused on and accountable for the profitable growth of CISA CI P&C business handled in the EUC on behalf of the branches. CISA is the Chubb owned agency that can provide unique solutions to whatever distribution challenges and opportunities businesses encounter. CISA administers The Chubb Access Program, which provides a pathway to incubate, manage and market all Chubb products to new quality independent agents. Premiums from all product lines generated by Chubb Access tier agents are credited to local Chubb branches. Primary responsibilities: * New Business - Generate approximately $2M in new business for CISA annually by directly underwriting $1M and collaborating with EUC Underwriters in other Industry Practices/Customer Groups to ensure CISA meets its annual new business goal of $2M * Underwriting Strategy Execution - Apply knowledge of P&C appetite to help triage new business opportunities and prioritize the deals CI wants the most * Pipeline Management - Work with CISA to build & maintain an active prospect list. Ensure effective pipeline management by coordinating, collaborating & prioritizing all open CISA submissions & quotes across all EUC product areas * Agency Management - Educate CISA Account Executives on CI's P&C appetite and underwriting strategies; partner with CISA marketing manager to develop an education strategy for CISA agents with the goal of improving submission quality and differentiating Chubb * Drive Results - Track submission activity and monitor hit ratios by LOB, Industry Practice, and CISA agency with the goal of proactively uncovering pockets of opportunity or agency underperformance * Influence Management - Act as a liaison for CISA within the EUC, seeking information from the various underwriters and managers who handle the book, and providing prompt responses to CISA Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Given the breadth of opportunities and exposures across multiple disciplines, the preferred candidate for this Production Underwriting position must have a good working knowledge of, or experience in, underwriting Core Commercial, Technology, Life Sciences, Financial Institutions, or Marine risks. Our preferred candidate should have 2 to 3 years of experience and authority within at least one of the referenced disciplines, coupled with a proven ability to drive profitable revenue growth. In addition, the following skills are required: * Demonstrated record of teamwork and integrity in building and sustaining internal and external relationships to achieve planned outcome. * Strong organizational and time management skills * Underwriting acumen and proven ability to use technical, analytical and underwriting decision making skills to effectively and profitably grow our premium base. * Documented success in driving business results through producer and sales management skills. * Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to ensure a clear, consistent message to customers including internal and external stakeholder.
