Job Summary:

Altair seeks a pro-active and well organised marketing professional who is passionate about presenting and hosting superb events globally. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Global Events, this role will provide operational support for Altair's extensive physical and virtual event program in the Americas region, and across the world. We are looking for someone passionate about working with and supporting a team that delivers world-class events, creating unforgettable experiences for our external and internal customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Be a critical thinker and problem-solver who thinks on their feet, works in an agile way and continually strives to adapt and improve working processes based on feedback.

  • Excel at multi-tasking, with an ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.

  • Work flexibly - the event environment is a fast-paced environment where tight deadlines are a way of life.

  • Be required to attend some in-person events as the main coordinator

  • Be able to work independently and efficiently.

  • Feel confident organising and administering events, whether we're hosting or sponsoring.

  • Write pre-event documentation, adding content to event management software, and liaising with suppliers about collateral, logistics and contracts.

  • Communicate in a clear, concise, and proactive manner whether in person, on a video call or emailing.

  • Be detail oriented and feel confident taking initiatives and prioritize own workload.

  • Strong analytics, reporting, and written communication skills

  • Ability to deal with many different personalities and cultures in a professional manner.

  • Work with internal clients to ensure the event is meeting requirements and implement any changes requested.

  • Instil trust and confidence with stakeholders, sponsors and partners and cement yourself as trusted partners in their event processes.

  • Keep up with industry trends to ensure the global events team is always effective.

  • Ability to learn our tools and become proficient quickly.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Well experienced with 3 - 5 years' experience in event organisation/marketing in B2B or B2C

  • Excellent English, both verbal and written

  • Highly collaborative, detailed-oriented, strategic thinker, well organized, energetic and results driven

  • Rigorous attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables

  • Candidate must be able to adapt quickly, solve problems effectively, and be a creative thinker

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Action-oriented who delivers quality work (consistently + strategically solid) within budget parameters

  • Ability to manage third-party vendors

  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneDrive, and have the ability to learn event management platform software.

  • Other tools: HubSpot, Salesforce, Cvent, Ringcentral, Reachdesk

  • Ability to travel as required

  • Remote work or option to work in a local office, dependent on location
