This position supports internal groups in the planning, development, management and execution of events that support the firm's strategic goals. The person must have knowledge of corporate and social event planning as well as food and beverage operations.
Assist internal groups in the planning and execution of both small and large-scale events-meetings, conferences, social gatherings and receptions
Hands-on involvement from pre-event management to post-event follow through
Coordinate logistics for audio/visual services, food and beverage, dcor, setup/breakdown, vendor management, event communications and budgets
Oversee day-to-day function of onsite cafeteria and catering operations
Manage and adhere to master event calendar and timelines
5 years of experience in corporate or hospitality event planning required
Self-starter who is an independent thinker capable of managing multiple events
Strong relationship building skills and ability to think outside the box
Ability to work with C-level executives
Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
Experience with Caterease or similar BEO software desired
Strong computer skills (MS Office)
Minimal travel requirements
