SS&C Advent, a leading provider of award-winning software and services for the global investment management industry, is seeking a Senior Events and Marketing Specialist at our Jacksonville office (Our New York City location is also an option for the right candidate). The Events Team mission at SS&C Advent is to support the Sales pipeline, promote the SS&C Advent brand and to delight our clients and prospects through face to face interaction. The team also supports highly visible internal training meetings. This is a temporary to hire position.

It will be the successful candidate's responsibility to form an excellent working relationship with our internal and external clients, build and maintain ongoing communications with key stakeholders and marketing peers. He or she will ensure that the programs as executed have the full support and buy-in of our internal clients.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and executes internal meetings and client-facing regional events, which may include team trainings, kick-off meetings, planning meetings, smaller tradeshows and regional client meetings.

  • Researches meeting space and offers recommendations based on meeting requirements, size and budget.

  • Facilitates end-to-end planning of assigned events and meetings, working closely with stakeholders and managers to ensure program is planned to meet/exceed the needs of internal/external clients. Manages all projects on schedule, with superior quality and on budget.

  • Conducts analysis and provides reporting on event programs across the team.

  • Prepare status updates on marketing projects and communicate results to the broader teams.

  • This position involves approximately 15-20% travel.

  • Offers Marketing/Sales support at conferences, conventions, workshops, customer events, and other marketing events, as needed.

Required Experience


  • 3+ years of experience managing all aspects of event planning from conception to post event reporting

  • Intermediate or above skill in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Experience with event budgeting

  • Experience conducting analysis of event data and results

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly professional, innovative, self-driven, and results-oriented

  • Approachable, relationship-focused and hardworking

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced & dynamic environment and able to stay organized while managing numerous projects simultaneously

VIEW JOBS 12/9/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-09T00:00 Job Summary The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Marketing Specialist coordinates the creative development and production processes of marketing plans supporting either WWP Program events and initiatives directed to warriors and their families, or the WWP Resource Development team to align fundraising goals and marketing activities to drive awareness, affinity, and engagement among WWP supporters, donors, and corporate partners. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Collaborate with Marketing and Communications team members, and either Resource Development or Program team members, to plan, develop, and implement innovative marketing plans. * Lead the creative development, design, and production processes for marketing projects or for marketing collateral, e.g., promotional material, advertising (print and online) collateral, and digital marketing (email and social). * Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies and activities, and prepare reports for leadership. * Research and identify market trends to optimize results and implement data-driven marketing strategies. * Serve as marketing subject matter expert and brand ambassador, ensuring consistency in all marketing materials, e.g., consistent and approved voice and messaging frameworks, visual assets, and key terminology. * Manage relationships and establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders, and oversee the work of external vendors. * Develop and manage timelines to produce marketing materials, e.g., brochures, directories, and other collateral. * Provide general marketing assistance for special events, campaigns, and other initiatives. Support, attend, and participate in WWP programs and community-based activities as required. * Other related duties as assigned.
