The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the world's leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis, and one of the most innovative and successful organizations of its kind is seeking an Event Support Specialist in our Albany, NY Chapter office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support the execution of events to include heavy event logistics

  • Involved in volunteer recruitment initiatives

  • Manage workplace submissions, silent/live auction management

  • Develop print materials, data-base management, social media

  • Soliciting in-kind donations, coordinating mailings, ordering supplies and answering phones

  • Creating and implementing marketing materials, and other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Someone with passion who is motivated and driven to contribute to the overall mission of our Foundation

  • 1-2 years of work experience

  • Four-year degree or equivalent education/experience

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects while remaining highly organized

  • A team player comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

MGR, SAFETY & TRAINING Job Summary:Responsible for performing professional-level work in the development and administration of employee health, safety and training programs. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, coordinate, and execute all new-hire training, education of staff members and management trainees on both one-on-one and small group levels * Responsible for the Weekly Minders and Safety Minders programs * Customize training documentation forms as required * Prepare a detailed outline of WCMW-specific training programs * Prepare monthly reports of training activity and statistics * Develop film and resource library. Translate materials into Spanish as needed * Liaison with other Training Coordinators, Corporate HR and Training staff and WCMC resources * Prepare memory aids for staff; i.e., plasticized cards for MSDS, Mission, Race, etc. * Oversee computer-based QA program * Coordinate and compile results of user satisfaction survey program * Collect supervision rounds forms and supervision team meeting minutes forms; compile, review and present to Department Head * Coordinate and compile results of special "QA and Infection control monitoring instrument programs" in TCC; and in BCC and Main Hospital as required.
