Full Time Event Specialist Lead

We are looking for a dynamic Full Time Event Specialist Lead to inspire our demonstrator team to thrive in the field! Our Event Specialist Lead works with new people and helps the team educate consumers, increase sales and boost brand awareness. As an Event Specialist Lead, you will be expected to create a memorable experience for consumers and lead by example to promote consumer engagement during in-store demonstrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up event, break down, product preparation and sampling during in-store demonstrations

  • Engage the consumer by creating brand awareness and enthusiasm

  • Study product materials to develop product knowledge

  • Review event schedule

  • Complete call reports, timesheets, and on-going training

  • Calls with supervisor/others as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma preferred or equivalent job-related experience

  • Experience in event marketing, demonstrations, sales, brand promotion or retail/grocery

  • Stand comfortably for up to 6 hours a day

  • Able to work independently and as a motivated team player

  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus

  • Daily internet access and smartphone required

  • Must be 18 years or older

Pathways Strategic Teaching Center is a year- round comprehensive education and treatment program, servicing children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other related disorders. Founded in 1988 through a collaborative effort between the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center and local parents of children with autism, Pathways is committed to utilizing scientifically validated teaching methodologies in improving the lives of individuals with ASD and their families. Pathways education and treatment strategies are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Individually tailored curricula address speech and language, pre-academic and academic skills, daily living and self-care skills, play and social skills, vocational skills, and assessment and treatment of challenging behavior. As a Lead Behavior Technician, you be will responsible for: * Supporting children 1:1 with autism & related disorders * Implementing instructional strategies and treatment plans utilizing the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) * Managing a broad range of needs presented by children with autism * Implementing all aspects of childs educational program, including self-care and toileting * Collecting and managing data within individual child measurement systems * Assisting with preparation/implementation of student IEPs and behavioral measurement systems * Coordinating classroom activities when Supervisory Educator is absent * Assisting in the preparation/facilitation of student group activities * Creating/organizing classroom schedule and daily student lesson plans/materials * Monitoring bus/student morning arrival and afternoon departure daily * Participating in interview process for the Behavior Technician position, as requested * Assisting in the training of newly hired Behavior Technicians * Performing other duties and job assignments as directed Education/ Requirements: * Bachelors degree required * Bachelors degree in education or special education or a related field preferred * Three years of experience working with children in a special education classroom or setting preferred * Must be amenable to instruction, able to follow specific directions of supervisor(s), and be receptive to feedback * Must be capable and ready to assume leadership duties during working hours * Good interpersonal skills are essential * Must have basic computer knowledge * Must have a valid drivers license, automobile insurance, and own the vehicle to be used, as directed, to provide transportation Our mission is to promote an enhanced quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.
