Assist in the development and execution of corporate event marketing programs.Assists in all aspects of pre-event program needs including but not limited to vendor selection and management, budget development and approvals, event registration and demand generation, venue selection and management (F & B, operations, etc.), event creative concept design and production. Manages all aspects of on-site event execution either directly or through outsourced vendors. Manages all post-event activities including development and execution of follow up plans for event attendees, uploading and tracking leads, wrap-up reports etc. Ensures that programs are executed successfully, efficiently and on budget so that customers experience a high degree of satisfaction in attending the event.Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently with some assistance and guidance within defined policies and procedures. 2 years relevant experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry desired. No date availability can be provided via phone calls. * Provide general Conference Center information only: direct caller to submit detailed email query to Conference Center alias. * General desk duties * Awareness if Oracle senior executives expected always maintain desk presence when arrival time is known. Make stakeholders aware of arrivals. This will include careful review of Studio calendar. Log staff calendars if LJE, MH, SC, TK expected arrival time, event, room location * Floor liaison: direct questions to appropriate stakeholders: * Event Manager: * Additional chair(s) requested * Catering number changes: addition/reduction * Logistics changes *

RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with assigned Field Marketing Managers to execute marketing activities * Independent planning and execution of local activities; must be proficient with all aspects of project/activity management/logistics – including seminars/tradeshows/sponsorships/hospitality events * Process required documentation and system entries/updates on all activities in a timely manner as required within guidelines (contracts, PO's, various Oracle systems, etc.) * Execute marketing activities within assigned budget allocations * Negotiate contracts with hotels and various vendors. * Timely and professional communication of project/activity status and updates, and notify activity owner (FMM) of any required adjustments/concerns to timing, budgets, etc. * Secure content from FMM and facilitate the development of print materials, signage while working with appropriate vendors for shipment to various events. * Secure giveaways, signage, supplies and magazines as needed and other projects/activity related items and ship as necessary * Onsite point of contact for overall logistics at assigned marketing activities * Use of multiple Oracle Proprietary systems and other applications (e.g. Excel, Word, MRM, etc.) to produce events, communications, reports, etc. * 25% travel required within the US and Canada PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum 4 years event management experience; marketing background a plus; * Expertise in project management, organizational and written/verbal communication skills; * Solid understanding of planning, negotiation, and execution of marketing activities; * Must demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor * Strong attention to details * Works well independently with the ability to maintain close relationship with team (team player and * a "can-do" attitude) * Ability to work with all levels of internal and external customers at all organizational levels * (Oracle/Customer executives, virtual teams, vendors, etc.) * Proficient in a variety applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Role to be based in an Oracle hub – HQ, Austin, Reston * Position: reports to Director, North America Marketing while supporting various assigned FMM's and projects as assigned * Ability to travel 25% within the US and Canada ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~end of relevant info Oracle Redwood City CA
