You: The Event Recruiting Specialist is a unique opportunity for someone with a desire for sales or marketing to kick start their career. The primary focus will be driving registrations and increasing attendance rates to our in-person and virtual events. This unique role involves interacting with all levels of IT professionals in enterprise organization from managers to CXOs.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage the lead flow necessary to produce results, report on call and email activity, maintain territory management information in Salesforce.com, and have basic Apptio product knowledge. What we want you to do:
Meet or exceed registration quotas through inbound and outbound prospecting
Assist with driving attendance to a variety of events
Develop and execute on a strong prospecting and recruiting plan of attack, including call scripts and audience segmentation and approach
Maintain, manage and improve on Account and Contact data within Salesforce.com
Track all relevant prospecting and lead management activity using Salesforce.com
Proactively work with Field Marketing organization to enhance recruiting efforts
Provide value-added market intelligence to the Sales Development and Field Marketing teams
Become fluent in relevant messaging and confidently convey value propositions for offerings
Gain the ability to overcome objections and respond to competitive questions
Work in Salesforce.com to build target recruiting lists by creating custom reports for each event's specific audience
Report on performance against campaign and quarterly goals
Attend events as needed
Qualify interested potential clients and work with Sales Development to arrange potential prospecting meetings
Clear, direct, and strong written and verbal communication skills
Have a positive "whatever-it-takes" attitude
Incredible attention to detail and extremely sharp organization skills
Analytical aptitude, outstanding team player and cross-group alignment capability

Bachelor's Degree with marketing or business focus preferred
Experience in marketing or sales development with a heavy focus on telephone prospecting is preferred
Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce.com, ability to pull custom reports, or aptitude to learn new software quickly
Strong skills in data analysis & sales tools use (such as LinkedIn and Salesforce.com)
