Event Marketing Specialist Job Req
Manage the planning and execution of approximately 25 B2B trade marketing events and all internal leadership events each year.
Event Creation & Follow-through:
Negotiate and manage all Media Platform marketing event contracts
Create event proposals, briefs and recaps for internal review and evaluation
Manage the Media Platform marketing events budget
Manage hotel contracts for B2B trade marketing event and/or internal leadership event room blocks
Create necessary sales documents such as meeting schedules, request forms & event feedback forms as needed
Internal communication through briefs, decks, meetings, and our project management system
Working with the vertical leads to make sure event efforts align with the timing and messaging within the marketing campaign
Communicate to sales team through meetings, emails, and the creation and updating of internal events website prior to events
Manage the meeting schedule for all sales meetings at Tier 1 shows in the month leading into the event and onsite at the event.
Purchasing & Tracking:
Create and submit tickets through the procurement process using the Service Now instance.
Track purchase orders for Media Platform event contracts and spend as well as using a corporate card to ensure all purchased sponsorship and event materials (booth builds, technology, sponsors, vendor services) are paid and properly accounted for.
Event Tools & Vendors:
Create and manage Media Platform's internal & external event's website along with Jifflenow meeting scheduler.
Assist in managing booth vendor to ensure build is in scope and build can take place within appropriate timelines and budget.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field of study
1-3 years of experience in marketing planning and procurement
Experience with managing 3rd party vendors and contracting services
Must be effective in communicating (written and verbal) to provide concise, timely, and accurate updates to internal stakeholders and management
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and build effective partnerships across organizational and functional boundaries
MS Office and Google Applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
Strong analytical and planning skills
