Reporting to the Director of Sports Marketing, the Event Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing entire event lifecycles for the Skechers Performance division, while executing best-in-class initiatives to promote and grow the Skechers brand.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall management, communication, and production of all Skechers Performance events.

  • Main point of contact for all event partner teams while managing day-to-day communication with key players from each corporation.

  • Create and maintain Performance Event Calendar throughout each year.

  • Regularly share calendar updates with all necessary parties.

  • Lead planning meetings with both external event partners and internal teams.

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a detailed planning document with timelines and deliverables for each event on the calendar.

  • Schedule meetings and follow ups on important actions from meetings.

  • Lead communication flow for all internal teams leading into an event.

  • Delegate event tasks to various internal teams while ensuring teams stay on track with all deadlines.

  • Collaborate with Field Marketing Team to ensure event details and expectations are communicated ahead of each event.

  • Coordinate and schedule out onsite operational set-up and break down for all events.

  • Create detailed event recaps with imagery and event KPIs to share with executive team after each event.

  • Assist in the development and coordination of marketing asset deliverables for events, such as print/digital design assets and marketing collateral.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute comprehensive event strategies to amplify our brand, drive demand, and accelerate sales opportunities.

  • Bring creative and disruptive ideas forward and build capability and strategic partnerships that will benefit the brand long-term.

  • Responsible for collaborating with Account Marketing to plan and execute key retail partner events and demo days.

  • Liaison with Wholesale Accounts and Account Marketing on shipping/staff needs and to ensure each event features the latest and greatest product being sold onsite.

  • Collaborate with event partners to build a social media calendar surrounding key product launches and events.

  • Manage the forecasting of promotional footwear for event partner staff on a quarterly basis.

  • Monitor inventory levels and depletion of inventory.

  • Ensure all vendors are set up and payments are processed accordingly.

  • Proactive approach to handling issues and troubleshooting any emerging problems.

  • Liaison with other internal departments, such as Apparel, Retail, Visual Merchandising, and PR on various projects.

  • Collaborate and work in a team environment with other sports and marketing team members.

  • Travel in the U.S. may be required to provide on-site support at select events to ensure seamless execution.
