The Event Host position requires a person that is engaging, personable, and hard working. Event Hosts are the face of FatCats Events and interact with the parties - you will need to be comfortable speaking in small groups as well as large crowds. Party Hosts must maintain a level head at all times and consider no jobs to big or small. The host must provide a safe, clean, and FUN experience. We need dependable and enthusiastic personalities in this position. We host corporate groups, birthday parties, and group events.

Winter is our busiest season for events as people move indoors for entertainment. This position is seasonal, but there is potentially opportunity to be brought on as a year round employee. We are looking to find someone ASAP until mid March.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for knowing the event schedule and when they need to be at work.

  • Arrives on time.

  • Maintains a professional appearance.

  • Identify opportunities to upsell.

  • Responsible for having the party set-up completed.

  • Understands the bowling game.

  • Responsible for assisting throughout the party.

  • Oversees order and delivery of guests' food.

  • Responsible for presenting the bill for services and cleanup.

  • Conducts a follow-up analysis of events.

  • Reliable transportable to work.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time and full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary Monday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The majority of our events take place on nights and weekends, so you must be available Saturday AND Sunday.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and POS register system.

  • Ability to clearly communicate with associates and guests.

  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.

  • Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.

  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.

  • Ability to climb ladders.

  • Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 20 pounds.

  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. (Can currently be in high school)

  • Food Handler permit

  • Customer service & food handling experience
