The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as an Event Coordinator. In this role, you will assist with planning, booking, organizing, and coordinating various events, such as annual meetings (with 1,000+ in attendance), conferences, and team-building activities.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Plan and organize corporate events, such as annual meetings, conferences, and team-building activities.

  • Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to determine each event's objectives, requirements, and budget.

  • Book venues, secure ground transportation, arrange catering services and ensure all logistics are in place for the event.

  • Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure necessary equipment, technical support, and other resources for the event.

  • Assist with the creation of event agendas, programs, and materials.

  • Coordinate on-site event operations, including registration, set-up, audiovisual support, and troubleshooting issues.

  • Ensure all events adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and health and safety guidelines.

  • Manage post-event activities, such as evaluating feedback, preparing reports, and tracking expenses.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • High school diploma (degree is preferred)

  • Minimum of two years of work experience, preferably in event planning

  • Well-organized and detail-oriented

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, with flexibility and adaptability

  • Excellent computer and verbal/written communication skills

  • Ability to apply tools such as Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be customer-focused, seek continuous improvement, and be highly self-directed

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
