Temporary Estimated Duration (In months): 12 Min Hourly Rate ($): 27.00 Max Hourly Rate ($): 35.00 Must Have Skills/Attributes: Customer Service, Event Planning, Marketing, Sales Job Description Only qualified Event Coordinator candidates located near the Henderson/Las Vegas, NY area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence Required Education: • High School Diploma Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience: • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) • Minimum two years' experience with event management and/or hospitality experience • Knowledge of the Las Vegas special events market & convention calendar • Ability to secure vendors based on client’s needs • Able to work independently with limited supervision • Able to cold call and generate leads for events business • Negotiation skills to develop contracts and pricing with clients and contractors • Excellent communication skills with the ability to have clear and concise communication with clients, vendors, retail leaders and store associates • Customer service oriented with prioritizing the guest experience • Problem solving skills with the ability to quickly assess and resolve issues that may arise during event planning and execution • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively Preferred Qualification/Skills/Experience: • Sales and/or CRM experience preferred • Catering experience preferred • Events coordination experience preferred Position Overview: This role works cross functionally with the Client leadership team to plan for and execute events that helps to grow the business.
They will build partnerships with businesses, chambers and hospitality professionals to support the marketing of Client Chocolates and Cactus Garden property. The event coordinator will spend a significant amount of time communicating with clients to identify their needs and present solutions that support utilization of our brands and properties. Job Details: • Lead role for on-site tastings, trade events, and holiday on site events • Build relationships with local hotel & casino concierge to raise awareness of chocolate & wine tastings, event awareness for off strip activities for hotel guest • Partner with Flagship leadership team on Las Vegas tourism bus schedule, build a relationship to recruit new tourism groups, promote the Flagship store/ Cactus Garden as a destination with tourism groups to drive traffic • Organize facilities and manage all event’s details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, etc. • Meeting with clients to work out event details, plan with clients and their team, scout and book locations, food, entertainment, staff and cleanup • Prepare presentations and site inspections for prospective clients • Source and manage vendor relationships • Knowledge of the Ethel M facilities including cactus garden, factories, and venue spaces, Flagship Lounge • Create detailed timelines, manage event budgets and allocate funds for various aspects of the event needs • Provide post-event analysis, recapping event success by gathering feedback & any after action review for future events Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.
