WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are searching for a Event Coordinator to join our Opus Team. The role will be responsible for assisting the agency teams in all aspects of event management and serving as support staff on in-person and digital events as assigned as well as owning components on small to medium-scale programs. Program components may include inventory and shipping management, managing event vendors, temporary staffing management and other components. Programs assigned may include conferences, tradeshows, dinners, corporate galas and incentive programs.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
1 - 2 years of experience, preferably in the event management / hospitality fields
Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year institution preferred
Must be results oriented, able to meet demanding deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the success of assigned aspects of an event or project, meeting program objectives and client and manager expectations.
Manage and follow Opus best practice documents for components assigned.
Responsible for effective and timely communication between internal team and vendors via phone and email.
Working with vendors in securing needed materials on time, within budget and meeting requested specifications.
Effectively interface and support workstream owners with proactive communication.
Understand Opus best practices and overall agency operations.
Seen as a team player in all situations
Report to program lead(s) as assigned, on a regular basis with project progress, identified problems and solutions.
Maintain clear communication with manager regarding special problems or exceptions to policies and procedures.
Actively participate in team meetings as required and treating all proprietary information as confidential.

HOW WE'LL TAKE CARE OF YOU
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $24 to $27. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Physical Requirements:
Individuals will be required to sit for the majority of the day and will be required to stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required.
