Basic Job Function:
The Event Concierge is the liaison between the Catering, Convention Services and/or Wedding Manager and the on-site event contact. This position is highly visible and the central point for handling and addressing special needs or requests. It requires detailed knowledge of the hotel meeting facilities, group dynamics, and event details. Promote the Sea Island legacy of warm genuine hospitality while upholding and ensuring compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Use of Company Vehicle: Not designated to drive a company vehicle
Minimum Requirements:
One (1) to three (3) years event coordination experience preferred
Experience working in a 4 or 5-Star hotel/resort preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent computer skills required; proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Word and Excel
Working knowledge of Opera preferred
Minimum typing skills of 35+WPM

Tasks/Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge of all hotel services/functions and hours of operations
Maintains extensive knowledge of catering, wedding and conference services, products, packages and meeting room configuration options and amenities
Assist catering and conference guests with set up of meeting rooms, audio visual equipment and any other pertinent services. Is available to conference guests to answer questions and accommodate special requests, as appropriate
Ensures that established standards of quality and service are maintained in servicing all functions
Meet with clients to discuss and assist with the arrangements of details for their event(s) i.e.-entertainment, meeting schedules, golf tee times, spa/salon appointments, other activities, transportation, etc.
Assist CCS team with general administrative needs, special projects & sites
Ensures assigned hotel events are executed with consistent high levels of service
Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one's ability
If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
