Overview

The Event Concessions Sous Chef will work in our on-site commissary kitchen and at events on site.

This role will pay a salary of $75,000 to $80,000.

For FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 12 holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise.

  • Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets the company's quality standards.

  • Manage/support new casual café concept opening late Summer 2024.

  • Manage/support concessions program.

  • Support the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.

  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance.

  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.

  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.

  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

  • Performs all duties in accordance with the established ServSafe standards.

Qualifications

  • Must have high volume event/restaurant management experience of at least 3 years.

  • Experience in leading special events/weddings of 250+ from start to finish.

  • Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.

  • Must have experience in managing a team of 20 or more.

  • A passion for mentoring and developing others.

  • Must have "ServSafe Manager" certification.

  • Must be extremely guest oriented with the highest degree of honesty and integrity.

  • Ability to lift, push, carry up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Flexible availability based on business demands.
