Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a EVCI Electrical Engineer. This position is located in Peachtree City, GA (45 minutes southwest of downtown Atlanta) and offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote). This role also provide relocation to Peachtree City, GA as well as work sponsorship.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you'll do:
Lead electronic hardware development for smart electric vehicle supply equipment supporting all project phases from requirements definition thru sustaining phases plus related project management tasks
Lead the design of analog and digital circuits, including power supplies, signal conditioning, and microprocessor support circuits.
Participate as a core global member of project teams
Serve as the technical bridge between electronics design and internal/external suppliers, assist with defining and qualification of electronic hardware test systems
Drive enhancement of existing products and services based on evaluations of existing and new technologies
Representative on councils and committees tasked with developing codes and standards for emerging technologies
Perform technical evaluations of electrical components and assess opportunities to develop partnerships and/or new suppliers
Lead product certification activities and prepares project technical packages - UL/CSA/FCC and other regulatory compliance bodies
Act as a technical advisor to product line managers and/or manufacturing engineers throughout the process. Provides solutions and technical support to customers and sales team.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution
Three (3) years experience in developing electronic/electrical circuit design and PCBA hardware design for power electronics products, IoT products, EVSE chargers and/or similar electrical system products.
One (1) experience with UL and NEC regulatory standards and electrical codes for circuit protection EVSE systems or other power electronic product.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electronic or Electromechanical Engineering, Computer Science from an accredited institution
Five (5) years experience with Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), specializing in power electronics architectures, control/software development.
Seven (7) years experience electronic circuits design, PCBA hardware development and integration into cloud-connected IoT systems
Experience using agile/scrum/sprint hardware product development methodologies and as part of a globally-distributed team of internal/ external developers and suppliers
Knowledge of communication interface such as RS485, SPI etc, and protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, or similar.
Position Criteria:
Computer knowledge: MS Office, PADS, Altium and CAD tools
Experience with design and testing various electronic system including analog/digital circuits, power supply circuits, power electronic circuit as well as wireless communication modules such as BLE, WIFI and 4G.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, certificates, and key management, penetration testing and software/hardware code compliance
Understanding of the product development process with the ability to balance/manage commercial expectations and project timelines
Engagement with associated product standard bodies such as SAE, UL, IEC & NEC
Ability to communicate internally and externally, plus build long term relationships and grow influence.
