BearCom is looking for an installation technician to build Police, Fire and Public Works Vehicles. Equipment being installed includes radios, video systems, radars, center consoles, lights, sirens, other electrical components and more. Public Safety (Police, Fire, EMS) vehicle installation background preferred but not required. Candidate must provide their own tools, with the exception of power tools and specialty tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform Installation of Emergency Warning Equipment.

  • Test/Troubleshoot Emergency Warning Equipment.

  • Installation of vehicle lighting, controls, sirens, cameras, electronic locks, and other similar technologies.

  • Dismantle the interior and exterior of new vehicles (seats, carpeting, flooring, dash and interior panels, headliners, lights to prepare vehicle for installation of new systems.

  • Install radio communications systems, antennas and GPS equipment into vehicles or mobile command centers.

  • Installation and troubleshooting two-way radios, sirens, warning lights, and other public safety vehicular equipment

  • Install electrical wiring, connect electrical fittings, drill holes, soldering and perform all physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for the acceptance of emergency-related equipment.

  • Maintain and track materials for jobs.

  • Maintain safe, clean and orderly tools and work area.

  • Complete all required paperwork and document installation activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience or knowledge of the following a plus:

  • Vehicle Audio Systems

  • Mobile Video Systems

  • Vehicle Remote Starters

  • Vehicle Security Systems

  • Reading Electrical Diagrams

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • Must be able to interact and communicate professionally.

  • Maintain an orderly and clean working environment, keeping the installers area organized.

  • Ability to succeed in an often fast-paced environment, establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

  • Comfortable using Hand Tools, Volt Meter, Power Tools, Drill Press, and other related tools.

  • Employee should possess a collection of personal tools to perform the required task - specialty tools will be discussed with management and be provided if warranted.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; lift (overhead, waist level) from floor, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend / descend a ladder.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

  • Background checks are part of the hiring process, which may include a Motor Vehicle check.

Contribute to the overall production goals by performing construction and maintenance duties on wells and surrounding grounds. The Field Compliance Technician will also heavily focus efforts to reduce costs with emissions compliance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the position that are most important to get the job done. Complete ECD Site Inspections to ensure flare efficiency through flare and tank seal maintenance and initiate any manufacturer required repairs; Perform hydro-testing in strategic areas and uses consistent method for early detection of failures; Assemble and repair oil field machinery and equipment; Provide assistance to pumpers, as needed; Develop, document, and implement quality control procedures for construction projects; Maintain roustabout truck to safely and effectively perform construction and maintenance tasks; Assist Roustabout Foreman in keeping invoices and CDL logs current on a daily basis; Effectively clean up all spills to ensure safe work area; Abide by all PDC safe work procedures and state and federal regulations; Walk flow lines to locate leaks; Must be able to move items weighing up to sixty (60) pounds to a height of forty (40) inches to service various components of equipment on well sites; Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder and utilize stairs to work at heights up to 5 feet to service equipment on well sites; Must be able to traverse uneven terrain to access well sites; Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES The specific minimum competencies required for job performance. Knowledge of machines and tools commonly used in the oil & gas industry; Possess physical strength needed to perform construction & maintenance duties; Basic math knowledge used in common calculations; Must be a self-starter; Possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Must possess the abilty to safely operate all vehicles involved in roustabout work. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The scope of the person's authority, including a list of jobs that report to the incumbent. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. WORKING CONDITIONS The environment in which the job is performed, especially any unique conditions outside a normal office environment. Work is 95% outside environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The minimum level of education, experience, and certifications required to perform the job.
