The Role:

What an exciting time to be a part of Spring Hill Manufacturing!

As an electric vehicle launch coordinator, you will play in integral role in General Motors' transformation to an all-electric future. As a member of the EV Supply Chain Launch Team, you will be responsible for supporting the launch execution of electric vehicles in Spring Hill's vehicle assembly plant. Your ultimate responsibility is to ensure the production operator has access to the parts needed to build each vehicle within their work zone.

What You'll Do:

Execute deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's launch objectives by working with cross-functional teams to ensure supply chain operational readiness. Implement supply chain systems and processes to ensure launch business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including quality, service, and responsiveness. Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as within other functions and to suppliers.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Understand and assess complex material storage issues and lead cross functional teams to resolve the issues

  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.

  • Summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership

  • Be flexible and, at times, work extended and non-core hours to ensure successful launch execution

  • Travel, as required, to other plant locations for onsite support of launch activities

  • Problem solve complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.

  • Understand supply chain functions including min/max, lean material strategies, and engineering change management.

  • Learn on the fly

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing floor experience in supply chain, operations, quality, or engineering

  • Knowledge of supply chain processes needed to develop line side presentations and material delivery strategies

  • Knowledge of operator capacity studies and how to use them

  • Ability to problem solve situations that are complex in nature and implement new and innovative strategies

Ability to be flexible and, at times, work extended and non-core hours to ensure successful launch execution
