The ETSI team consists of highly skilledsubject matter experts in Enterprise Technology Strategy, InformationTechnology Service Management, Advanced Technology and Digital Solutions, ITStrategic Sourcing and Technology Resource Effectiveness who bring dedicatedfocus to the business of technology. The ETSI business line partners with ourclients to cut through the clutter, ask the hard questions, and provideinnovative and customized solutions that drive value and build trust.

Position Summary

The Director oversees the projects and teamsdelivering advisory services in ITResource Effectiveness. You are responsible for building business inpublic and private sectors within the industry and client. As an executivelevel communicator and relationship manager, you will ensure program controland quality control of the projects and initiatives in your area. You willcontinually develop the practice area, expand account share, and manage thepipeline. You will coach and develop staff in alignment with market directionand ETSI practice strategy. As a member of the ETSI leadership team, you willparticipate in future state development, hiring, and collateral development.

PrimaryResponsibilities

  • Acts as a trusted advisor, and builds and maintainsrelationships with C-level executives and industry organization

  • Maintains currency on the "business of IT", on newtechnologies and platforms and provides direction on what emergingtechnologies, processes and practices need to be assimilated, integrated andintroduced within the TechnologyResource Effectiveness solution set and ensure ETS&I responds to the needsof the CIO

  • Sets the mission and vision of the TechnologyResource Effectiveness practice to foster business-oriented culture andmindset.

  • Leads the IT Technology Resource Effectiveness teamin the assessment of external market and internal technology capabilitiesrequired to achieve desired competitive positioning. Maintains current accountpipeline responsibility.

  • Enhances the capabilities of the TechnologyResource Effectiveness sub-practice by leveraging a multitude of resources,both internally and externally.

  • Develops and maintains a Technology ResourceEffectiveness practice workforce with the appropriate mix of businessknowledge, technical skills and competencies that balance the needs betweengrowing the agility required to achieve practice objectives and ensuring thecore technical functions are reliable, stable and efficient.

  • Leads client teams in the evaluation and design oforganizations' Technology Resource Effectiveness strategy and roadmap alignedwith current and future business goals.

  • Leads client teams in the development of roadmaps andprograms to implement the organizations' Technology Resource Effectivenessstrategy.

  • Leads client teams in the optimization of Technology ResourceEffectiveness performance through implementation of assessments, benchmarking,analysis and recommendations based on ITIL.

  • Leads client teams in the assessment, policy development,standards, guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation ofthe Capital Management and Resource effectiveness, Investment / Value Prop /time to Value, Internal (Business) Partner Solution Alignment, ChangeManagement

  • Aligning Culture to Solutions, IT People Strategy: Skilling /training / retooling/ right sizing & redeployment Strategy, IT LeadershipSuccession Planning.
  • Leads client teams in the implementation of Technology ResourceEffectiveness Financial Management models, methodology and metrics that supportIT sourcing value measurement, decision-making and communication.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with clients and workseffectively with client management and staff at all levels to gatherinformation and perform services.

  • Works closely with Grant Thornton leadership to promptlyidentify and resolve client problems or issues.

  • Communicates (verbally and in writing) externally withclients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfullyaccomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence.

  • Leads business development activities, such as proposals,capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thoughtleadership material.

  • Meets or exceeds sales targets for new and follow-on work.

  • Motivates others to perform at maximum efficiency withoutsacrificing quality of the services delivered.

  • Provides leadership, coaching and direction to thepractice leadership team and staff.

  • Additional job duties as necessary.

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Data Science or STEMrelated field.

  • 5 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function,servicing cross-industry clients at a national level.

  • 5 years of experience in related, industry-leading, large, cross-functional teamsand/or enterprise wide programs, influencing senior-level management and keystakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts,and at a senior leadership level.

  • Demonstratedexperience in IT strategic planning, organization design and development.

  • Provenexperience and demonstrated capability in designing, implementing and selling TechnologyResource Effectiveness transformational solutions in complex and dynamicenvironments.

  • Experiencewith Life Sciences, Financial Services, Healthcare, or Manufacturing preferred.

  • Abilityto work additional hours and/or travel 50-70%

Knowledge/Skills

  • Provenexperience with developing and implementing assessments, policy development,standards, guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation ofthe Capital Management and Resource effectiveness, Investment / Value Prop /time to Value, Internal (Business) Partner Solution Alignment, ChangeManagement
