ETS Principal Engineer- Digital Payments

The Principal Engineer for Digital Payments will serve as a practice lead, system architect, subject matter expert, and consultant for Money Movement and Payments Modernization initiatives at Navy Federal. This individual must become knowledgeable in our current on-prem systems and modern cloud payments ecosystem and provide recommendation around product architecture, design, development, and modernization.

The Principal Engineer will be consulted on Money Movement strategy, design, engineering, and integration efforts providing technical expertise on innovative solutions that leverage the latest technologies. The Principal Engineer will create and implement solutions for Digital Payments and draw out functional and non-functional requirements from business and technology subject matter experts. This individual will manage the architecture and delivery of products and platforms requiring close collaboration with the Technology Product Owner/Managers and Development Leads in Digital Payments, Business Product Owners in Savings & Membership, vendors, and dependent platform and product teams. The Principal Engineer will support the development of the Digital Payments Portfolio Roadmap and the Architectural Runway.
