Who are we looking for?
An ETL Developer who can help us build a new data platform using Talend, as well as using Big Data and modern new technologies. The Developer will also be responsible for ongoing new development projects supporting legacy data pipelines.
Designing and developing (enhancements and maintenance) new ETL and Business Intelligence Solutions using Talend with Oracle, S3, and Redshift
Participate and deliver on new cloud data warehouse projects
Design and develop data pipeline frameworks on data collection, processing and storage across data stores
Design, develop, review and test ETL/ELT codes and other data integration and management scripts independently or as team leader
Provide support and maintenance of existing ETL systems and processes
Follow development team's SDLC process. Accurately estimate time required to complete projects and tasks
Identify missing automation needs and develop automations using Talend.
What qualifications are needed?
Experience developing ETL with Talend with strong understanding of various Talend components
Should be able to provide guidance on standards, guidelines and best practices for Talend development
Strong SQL Skills
Experience dealing with large data volume with scalable solutions, preferably in Oracle database or other Data Warehouse Solutions such as Redshift or any MPP
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice to haves: Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, server-side languages Java/Python, financial industry/accounting and/or laboratory or other medical industry background
