Required Skills:

Knowledge of setting up, configuring, and maintaining ETL processes.
Experience working with relational data sources (i.e., SQL Server, Teradata), Big Data sources (i.e., Hive, Hadoop), and unstructured data sources (i.e., Kafka, Kinesis).
Well-versed in writing queries in an efficient and optimized manner.
Excellent command over developing, maintaining and scheduling ETL jobs.
Knowledge of importing data from external sources in an efficient manner (use of multiple connection types).
Knowledgeable about creating indexes, data models etc. and other features of ETL tools that help structure the data based on the business needs.
Must have some mix of experience of the following potential data environments and tools that will be used:

Protection of the health of the public through state-of-the-art assessment of health professionals is the mission of the NBME, along with a major commitment to research and development in evaluation and measurement. The NBME was founded in 1915 because of the need for a voluntary, nationwide examination that medical licensing authorities could accept as the standard by which to judge candidates for medical licensure. Since that time, it has continued without interruption to provide high-quality examinations for this purpose and has become a model and a resource of international stature in testing methodologies and evaluation in medicine. Although the NBME's mission is centered on assessment of physicians, it encompasses the spectrum of health professionals along the continuum of education, training, and practice and includes research in evaluation as well as development of assessment instruments. The NBME has nearly 500 employees and is located in Philadelphia's University City neighborhood, home to some of the country's most esteemed universities, nonprofit research institutes, and research and teaching hospitals. Position Overview: The ETL Developer will be a key member of Application Design and Development unit at NBME. In addition to being responsible for implementing migration and integration ETLs, the engineer will work directly with scrum team members and business gathering requirements to analyze, design and/or implement technology best practice business changes. They will work with senior members of the team ensuring the successful delivery of implementation. The software engineer will focus on leading cloud based implementations like Salesforce Service Cloud and Salesforce Communities to offer comprehensive, industry-focused cloud ETL solutions that include strategy, implementation, migration and integration services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Collaborate with team and other technical groups in IT to implement data integration, ETL solutions following best practices and adhering to standards * Demonstrate ownership of assignments and professional maturity to deliver well-tested, dependable cost-effective deliverables in a timely manner * Demonstrate excellent communication skills to convey complex design and implementation solutions to colleagues and possibly business users * Provide production and maintenance support for developed applications * Maintain accurate and up to date design, implementation documentation * Develop, test and implement ETL applications using Informatica PowerCenter * Develop routines for ETL performance optimization * Develop scripts SQL, Unix Work Experience * 7+ years of ETL experience using Informatica PowerCenter 9.x, 10.x * Extensive knowledge in Data Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Testing using Data Extraction, Data Transformation and Data Loading (ETL), and Data Integration using Informatica Power Center. * Experience with developing ETLs that integrate with Cloud systems is helpful (Salesforce and Azure as source and/or targets). * Strong experience in Informatica tools: Repository manager, Designer, Workflow manager, Workflow monitor. Ability to work with complex mappings using different transformations like Source Qualifier, Lookup, Filter, Expression, Router, Normalizer, Joiner, Update Strategy, Rank, Aggregator, Stored Procedure, Sorter, and Sequence Generator. * Hands-on experience using Informatica with web-based/cloud sources and targets (e.g., Restful APIs, NoSQL DB, JSON/XML data formats, etc.) is helpful. * Hands-on experience in one or more programming or scripting languages, such as C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Perl, PL/SQL is required. * Understanding of Relational Data modeling. * Experience with Informatica CC360 and Sales Force is plus. Job Skills: * Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are required Ability to learn new software engineering techniques quickly and independently. * Experience with Informatica PowerCenter x, 10.1.x * Experience with Oracle 11, 12c, SQL Server * Experience with SQL, PL/SQL; Unix Shell scripting * Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills * Must possess the ability to follow best practices, setup processes and procedures, etc. * Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Azure or Salesforce ETL/Data Integrations is a plus. * Experience working in Agile environment (Scrum and Kanban) is a plus. * Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence is a plus. * Informatica PowerCenter certification will be a plus. Education: * Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related discipline such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering * Certifications: Informatica PowerCenter is a plus, but not required.
