As one of FORTUNE Magazines 100 Best Companies to Work For, we are committed to making the necessary investments to offer superior technology innovation, a better transactional system and a sturdy infrastructure.ETL Informatica Developer for providing technical leadership in support of the ongoing improvement of business applications, ensuring that these applications are prepared to meet current and evolving business needs with a focus on ETL tools and processes.What you will be doing:Application Development SkillsStrong hands-on SQL programming experience including building queries
Strong experience with ETL development (ideally with Informatica Power Center)Translate business requirements into ETL designs and mapping specifications
Experience with the Microsoft stack; SQL Server, .NET, SSIS, etc.Strong experience in ETL performance tuning
Working experience in scheduling tools
Coordinate activities with data source application owners to ensure integration, data integrity and data quality
Actively participate and contribute to Bright Horizons Master Data Management program and data warehouse architectures
Provide technical and business knowledge support to the team
Collaborate with business owners, business analysts and other team members to define and document functional requirements for interfaces and system and changes
Ensure that application projects are prepared and organized to achieve the best possible return from development and project resources to ensure both efficiency and effectiveness of the development process
Ensure that project schedule and timeline is in alignment with business and implementation goals and requirements and make adjustments to meet business goals when necessary
Understand the application development life cycle and ability to apply it to existing and future application development initiatives
Review test scripts as part of all functional specifications to ensure that testing occurs to meet all business requirements including all process components as well as client, center and program configurations
Ensure that all changes to systems are tested according to change management policies and procedures to ensure compliance of software changes with business requirements and that audit documentation is complete and accurate
Technical SkillsProvide technical leadership for, and hands on delivery of design documents, code development, and test scripts.Develop and use relevant industry standards and domain information models to satisfy functional and non-functional requirements and achieve compliance with corporate standards/guidelines.Participate in proposing new technical architectures and solutions to improve and enhance existing architectures.Determine scope and provide level of effort estimates for project tasks and related activities
Evaluate and test emerging technologies/toolsConduct or facilitate collaborative data modeling activities among multiple stakeholders
Support the business development efforts where data architecture and analysis requirements are defined
Good Knowledge in Informatica Power Center administration
Knowledge of Informatica Data QualityGeneral Application Development and Support SkillsDay to day management and support of ETL applications according to Bright Horizons standards
Ensure support and maintenance activities related to ETLs, database administration and job monitoring and management are occurring as required
Exhibit excellent follow-up on the status and action plan of all application support requirements
Ensure application documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
Report on schedule and progress on weekly basis (or more frequently as required by management)Experience in various SDLC methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, etc.,CommunicationParticipate in regular status meetings with development and applications teams and effectively communicate relevant project information to management
Adjust communication strategy and approach to match the needs of specific business groups, individuals and development partners and ensure that all materials created for communicating and facilitating discussion of intended approach are carefully tailored to the intended audience to ensure that business owners are able to give complete and accurate feedback
Ensure that feedback from key business owners is fully acknowledged and incorporated into functional and technical specifications, process flow diagrams and project plans as appropriate
Serve as a technical liaison with third party development partners
Serve as a communication bridge between business leaders, applications team, developers and infrastructure team members to facilitate understanding of initial requirements, address questions and manage changes across the team
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
Job RequirementsBachelors Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Minimum 3+ years of application development and application development management
Strong technical capabilities with knowledge of Microsoft technologies and development practices, including SQL, C#, .Net, MVC, TFS and coding standards
Minimum 5+ years hands on development experience with Informatica PowerCenterAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently on a day to day basis
Excellent analytical skills required
Experience managing all phases of the project life cycle, including running project prioritization meetings, post-installation project post-mortem meetings and a proven track record of multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and delivering projects on budget
