Ethos is seeking community-minded musicians and music educators to join our team of Rural Outreach Project (ROP) Music Facilitators/AmeriCorps members for the 2019-20 school year. The positions are a full-time AmeriCorps positions with benefits, based in rural towns across Oregon.
Primary responsibilities include teaching music during and after school four to five days a week in classroom and small group settings. Members will also assist in training and supervising volunteers to help with lessons, summer camps, and organizing community events and concerts. The Rural Outreach Project not only brings much-needed music education and exposure to underserved communities, but gives musicians and music educators the opportunity to use their talents in a unique and meaningful way, while gaining valuable practice in classroom teaching. The positions are open until filled.
