Our Emergency Trauma Center (ETC) has 38 private patient rooms, is a designated Level II Trauma Center and has a helipad and ambulance garage. We receive 60,000 visits per year and are the premier Trauma Center in Central Minnesota. The Emergency Trauma Center Technician (ETC Tech) functions under the direct supervision of the Medical Provider and/or Registered Nurse (RN), to perform delegated medical and nursing functions. Assists in the treatment and care of patients of all ages in accordance with established policies, procedures, standards and philosophy to provide quality patient care in the Emergency Trauma Center.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Successful completion of a licensed practical nurse or paramedic program required Current licensure in State of MN as an LPN or Paramedic Paramedic program strongly preferred Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required in 12 months CentraCare Health and Carris Health have made a commitment to diversity in its workforce. Responsible for performing standard laboratory procedures. Patients of all ages are served. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care Principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers. EDUCATION: Associate degree from an accredited Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT)/Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Program or other qualifications as outlined by CLIA regulation, section 493.1489 for employees hired before September 1, 1997 required. New Graduate#s degree must be validated within 2 months post-graduation. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: ASCP-BOC certified within 6 months with first exam completed within 3 months of hire, with certification verified within six weeks of exam. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Recent experience of one or more years in large acute care facility preferred. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Good computer knowledge and input skills required. Transportation available for off campus laboratory related activities may be required.
