ESY Preschool Prek Special Education Teacher Assistant

Job goal: To work with students with disabilities under the direction, supervision of certified personnel and to assist students in reaching their goals as indicated on their IEPs.

Our program will run Monday through Thursday from 8am to 11am, July 8th to August 1st.

There is also an opportunity to work in the afternoons and all day on Friday at the Enrichment camp, if interested, please note it in your application.

Under Direction of Special Education Teacher:
1.Assist in implementing IEP goals.
2.Carry out small group instruction and assist in one-on-one instruction as needed.
3.Assist teachers and therapists in maintaining appropriate data and records.
4.Support the continuous implementation of skills and goals associated with students' OT, SLP and PT need.
5.Carry out and maintain computer skills and communication devices for students.
6.Implement equipment, sensory, mobility, behavior plans and self-care plans (toileting) per students' needs - the physical ability to assist in lifting students for the purpose of positioning, changing, toileting, etc. is essential.
