Construction Headhunting is currently on the hunt for an entry-level graduate to train as an Entry Level Estimator Breaking, Removal & Patching, Flatwork, & Pre-Cast Concrete Contractor to join a client in NW Chicago, IL. We are looking for an estimator/project manager that we can trian to identify key projects, estimate and bid these opportunities, manage said projects to completion while maintaining appropriate document and financial controls.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Estimate/Run Small Mid Size Breaking, Removal & Batching, Pre-cast, small flat work, etc.
Demolition, Plumbing, or General Construction experience of 2+ years preferred
Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine requirements or to plan procedures
Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
Must be able to manage manpower scheduling for projects
Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project
Inspect / review projects to monitor compliance with safety codes, or other regulations
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Order or requisition materials and supplies
Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish all work
Confer with supervisory personnel, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems
Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.
Provides accurate weekly forecasting, including deal value, and status
Familiar with Construction Equipment
Experience in and with professional construction services
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills requiredRequirements:
Pass a required pre-employment drug screen & random
Pass a pre-employment background record & periodical checks
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving history
Required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
