Job Overview:

As an Estimator at Boldair, you will be someone who enjoys being a swiss army knife of skills: estimating, relationship building, and communicative selling will drive you. You'll play a crucial role in the planning and execution of HVAC projects. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to accurately estimate the costs associated with mechanical systems installation and maintenance. While the baseline of this role is estimating, the ideal candidate will thrive in building relationships with key stakeholders: general contractors, vendors and potential new clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate and manage bid deadlines effectively

•  Generate material/volume counts and quantities

• Organize estimates using a standard cost code structure
• Review and complete prequalification documents, RFI deadlines, and other bid package components with Preconstruction Manager
• Identify value engineering opportunities
• Create and maintain organized Job Estimate folders on BoldAir Server
• Ensure Customers are being taken care of
• Follow up on previously quoted Job
• Log bid stage along with customer interactions
• Ensure the project team has all relevant estimation documents
• Participate in hand-off meetings with key project stakeholders
• Maintain a historical cost record for future reference

Requirements

• 5-10 years in the industrial mechanical field as an Estimator and/or Project Manager
• Experience estimating projects that include DX and Hydronic systems
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Proficiency in Relationship Building
• Proven track record in winning complex bid projects
• Strong collaboration skills with both internal and external project teams

Benefits

The annual base compensation range for this role is between $80,000 and $115,000. The successful candidate's actual base compensation will be based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and professional qualifications.
