Requirements

Estimator: This is where you come in.

We're seeking an Estimator adept at crafting precise, comprehensive, and timely project estimates, encompassing all necessary deliverables. The ideal candidate will continuously develop and expertly utilize their understanding of relevant materials, methodologies, engineering principles, and construction processes to articulate a comprehensive narrative detailing the mechanical costs of a project. This role offers extensive exposure to the entire lifespan of commercial construction projects, serving as a valuable training opportunity. Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero:

• Guarantee that assigned estimates are meticulously crafted, delivered punctually, and encompass all necessary components.
• Cultivate a deep comprehension of the construction process, including the methodologies employed, the integration of Mechanical and Plumbing systems within projects, and the overarching operations of the business that underpin our construction endeavors.
• Exhibit proficient communication and collaboration skills within both the department and project teams alike.

The Estimator position reports to an Estimating Manager within a collaborative team dedicated to diverse projects and initiatives aimed at bolstering our expanding business. This pivotal role involves interfacing with individuals across all organizational levels and functions, offering significant visibility and impact.

Your Background: What kind of person will thrive in this role?

You should have…

• Prior experience in estimating, preferably in the mechanical or construction industry.
• A strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, and other related systems.
• A track record of critical thinking and problem solving, using sound judgement to make decisions
• Expertise in time management and organization.
• Outstanding spatial reasoning and the ability to visualize / navigate three dimensional virtual environments.
• Solid technology skills, with a drive to learn new, challenging, cutting edge 3D modeling and data analytic software.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.

Benefits

Compensation:$70,000 to $92,000 Annually
