Estimator

Communicate with both existing and potential customers to form good relationships and to obtain the necessary information to properly respond to RFQs, bid requests, etc.

Arrange face-to-face or over-the-phone business meetings with prospective customers/clients.

Review clients' technical scopes of work and develop solutions adapting products, equipment, and service offerings to support the project requirements.

Review project technical documentation and develop exceptions and deviations to align with the Company's capabilities.

Work with the Sales, Engineering, Projects, Operations, and Service departments to estimate project costs and generate bid packages and quotations.

Prepare detailed project estimates showing expected costs and profit margins.

Work with vendors to get written bids/quotes/pricing on goods and services.

Log all quotations and follow up using standard practices.

File bids and quotations with the client within the allotted time frames.

Prepare sales reports of activities completed and pertinent project updates.
