As an estimator, you would be responsible for completing residential/commercial or multifamily take-offs from builder blueprints and complete material and labor estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Field measure jobs

  • Create work tickets

  • Insulation prep and small warranties as needed

  • Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to create load calculations and designs

  • Estimate material amounts and cost of labor to complete the installation of insulation in residential / commercial homes and building

  • Communicate directly to the customer/builder when necessary

  • Return all necessary information back to the assigned sales rep to continue with the bid process

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience using software programs to create duct layouts, bill materials and estimate cost of proposal

  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency for daily communication with division

  • Maintain and record details of bid status log for each assigned division

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Understand how to read blue prints, draw and draft design plans

  • Familiar with inspector guidelines and safety precautions

  • Excellent attention to detail and analyze the information

  • Basic math skills

  • Must be able to meet short deadlines and have a flexible work schedule

  • Valid driver's license to drive a company vehicle

Position requires a drug test and motor vehicle report to be completed, contingent upon employment.

Physical Demands

  • Bend, walk and stand for periods of time.

  • Ascend ladders or scaffolds if needed

  • Computer literacy

Work Environment

  • Construction and office environment; able to adapt to weather conditions.

Working under close supervision assists in monitoring building system operations, equipment, and overall performance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilities Management Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance as directed on varying equipment. Reviews assigned work orders for completeness. Complies with all company directives related to building operations, work safety, and operational management. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems. Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulb Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. Compliance to company standards, systems, procedures, and policies Abides by company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Handbook. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Must be reliable and punctual in reporting to work as scheduled; enforces company time and attendance policy. May not sign contracts on behalf of the company. May only make expenditures from vendors for authorized items. Unauthorized vendors, unauthorized products, and quantities exceeding normal business volumes must be approved by the Director of Fuel. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or GED, additional training at a trade-related school preferred. * Must maintain a current, valid, unrestricted drivers license with an insurable driving record KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Able to carry or lift 50 lbs. or more, climb ladders, work outside, as well as general physical requirements to include but not limited to stooping, standing, and or walking for prolonged periods. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Basic use of the Microsoft Office suite as well as Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence. * Must have valid drivers license and be able to go between stores without difficulty * Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, on-call and holidays.
