Estimator 1

The Estimating Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the estimating department by reviewing project solicitation documents, performing quantity take-offs, and facilitating communication with subcontractors and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project solicitation documents and perform quantity take-offs.
• Solicit subcontractor/vendor quotations and distribute solicitation documents.
• Assist with and develop scope of work packages to define project work requirements.
• Evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure accuracy in scope, quantities, schedule, inclusions, and exclusions.
• Prepare subcontractor/vendor price analysis sheets.

Skills Required:

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding construction documents.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with subcontractors and vendors.
• Experience in soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and/or vendor proposals.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel and Word).
• Familiarity with take-off software is a plus.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills are desirable.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the construction industry with estimating experience.
• Experience with commercial or Government projects is advantageous.
• Experience with a construction material supplier and quantity take-off is preferred.
