The Estimation and Sales Database Developer will be responsible for working with the Business Development Manager, Estimation Manager, Sales Forecasting Manager, Finance Controller, Program Management, and Operations Manager to develop and implement a SQL Database / Java Web based solution for CAS compliant estimation of component, subassembly, and engineering based estimation, bid, and pricing of customer quotations. They will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, extending, advancing, and improving the existing estimation SQL database and java web based application. .
Using SQL, C, C++, C #, and Java based development tools, they will work together with internal specifiers and internal customers to ensure the database(s) are extended, supported, and maintained. They will work with and support IT to ensure the database is compliant and supportable with company best practices. They will work with the Subject Matter Experts to develop and document the use case scenarios and utilize those to develop the SQL database table structures and database architecture. They will define and document the software modules and interfaces, and write the base software products. They will further work with end users to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
BS Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, software development and 5+ years of SQL development experience, or equivalent Microsoft certified development certificates and 10+ years of direct database and software development experience.
Proficiency in MS Visual Studio, SQL Server, Java, and bug tracking tools
Experience with problem analysis and resolution
Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
Ability to recommend and implement improvements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, Email, MRP systems, and accounting software)
