The Estimating Manager is responsible to lead and manage the estimating staff, provide technical support to the Marketing / Sales / Estimating / Operation functions of High Concrete Group LLC with a view toward generating maximum profitability and full production. Direct control of HCG estimating function to ensure best practice is used during the bidding process.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering or Construction related discipline
Five (5) years of experience in the precast/prestress concrete industry or related fields of precast expertise
Leadership / Management experience
Experience in the following areas: Estimating, Preconstruction, Sales, Project Management, Engineering
Essential Job Functions:
Provide leadership and managerial responsibility for department team/staff and operations.
Recruitment, training, growth, motivation and development of all estimating team/personnel through performance plans, reviews, continual 1 on 1 coworker meetings, training, counseling and endorsement of the Team concept.
Develop, organize and maintain estimating work flow processes.
Establish Performance goals and metrics for department roles.
Maintain, analyze, track metrics for estimating efforts and functions. Provide and maintain reports and dashboards.
Utilize and leverage technology for all work flow processes.
Fiscal Responsibility for department budget and goals.
Assist sales to select projects to bid.
Establishing and coordinating bidding schedule. Manage assignments and schedules for requested leads.
Coordinate all estimate pricing requests for work acquisition: including bid revisions through all stages and phases of leads
Coordinate all estimate efforts for Post Sales work flow process: As sold reconciliations, alternates, conversion of budgets to hard cost estimate (as needed) and change management.
Coordinate and liaise with other internal departments for pricing and estimates.
Review all estimates prior to submission to supervisor, sales & leadership team.
Assist sales to develop win strategy.
Technical and engineering support for estimating projects.
Technical support to sales/marketing staff.
Review Estimate/Proposal Project Specific Scope of work and Bid Qualifications.
Active participation in Sales Meetings, Turn Over Meetings, Cost Control Meetings, Lesson Learned Meetings and others as needed.
Evaluate actual costs following project completion to determine trends that require adjustments to bid pricing.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned within the scope of the job responsibilities.

Annual Sales Volume: $100 - $250 Million
Annual Pipeline Volume: $750 Million to $1 Billion
