ESL Instructor -Temporary

The ELT Instructor designs and teaches courses in English Language to newly arrived Ukrainian Parolees. Flexibility in scheduling classes is necessary for this position.

The incumbent reports to the Program Director.

• Teaches ELT classes daily.

• Consults with other program staff regarding student problems and progress.

• Develops new instructional materials.

• Prepares written evaluations of student progress.

• Prepares and maintains records concerning student attendance, grades, and curriculum materials.

• Does student testings and reflects scores in student files

• Recruits volunteers.

• Resolves crisis in classroom.

• B.A., in ESL, Education, Linguistics, or related fields.

• At least two years in ESL teaching experience preferred.

• Experience in curriculum development preferred.

• A calm and resilient personality.
