The ESiNET Network Engineer will be responsible for providing Subject Matter Expertise in NG9-1-1 ESiNET technology areas such as VOIP, SIP, digital voice and common network technologies.
Participate in design activities and ensure quality controls on all ESiNET designs, compliance to standard depicted by the City, APCO and NENA.
Report all quality control issues to the NG9-1-1 program manager and all agency representatives.
Review all network design components, all ESiNET services, as well as ensure all developed interfaces and satisfy all agency requirements.
Define global enterprise network architecture, recommending and validating new emerging technologies, and ensuring that the end to end strategy aligns to business and technology goals that address business needs for the 9-1-1 call taking and dispatch environment. Possess detailed understanding of the NG9-1-1 i3 VoIP standards, and develop configuration templates that align with best practices. Development and design of highly available, tightly integrated, secure, flexible, and fault-tolerant networking systems for NG9-1-1.
Detail design needs for QoS on various Cisco platforms, IPv6 dual-stack, and multicast designs. Generate conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, test plans, requirements, use cases, and interface control documents to ensure the design and delivery of network LAN/WAN architecture that conforms to application and user requirements.

Benefits
Rate: $77- $82 DOE
Note: Normal Business Hours, Monday through Friday (not including a mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work), 35 work hours per week. If the consultant works more than 35 hours per week, the consultant must request overtime in the Agency's timekeeping system and the project manager must approve those hours worked above the weekly maximum.
