ESH Specialist II (Ts/Sci With Polygraph Clearance Required)

Job Description

• Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance

The purpose of this position is to promote a safe work environment. These problems include but are not limited to prevention of human injury, environmental degradation and unsafe working conditions/practices. This is done through health, safety and environmental training, programs, and processes with a visible and uncompromised commitment to the protection of the environment as well as the productivity of the Company's employees.

• Maintain a fundamental knowledge of Company specific Environmental, Safety, & Health (ESH) standards, programs and goals by applying elementary ESH procedures as established by the Company on a project site or in an office through training

• Assess whether project site adheres to Company and regulatory ESH standards and guidelines

• Promote ESH standards and goals with programs throughout the Company and/or project to foster a safe and productive work environment

• Provide support in the development of simple ESH project plans and development of simple ESH specifications

• Maintain simple reports or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring application of ESH standards and goals

• Adhere to and support Fluor's Environmental, Safety, & Health and Sustainability Policies

• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations.

• ESH certifications: OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, USACE EM-385, Environmental or Industrial Hygiene courses

• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

• Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, Air Quality)

• Bilingual (English / Spanish)

• Ability to deliver presentations and training content to internal and external customers.

• Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
