JOB SUMMARY

In this role you will lead the preparation of required global regulatory filings for environment, social and governance (ESG) requirements. This will include understanding and tracking changes to all regulatory requirements, benchmarking with industry and local peers and overseeing the data collection process by developing a control structure around the processes to ensure data is complete, accurate and auditable. In addition, this role will partner with consultants and auditors as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the regulatory filing preparation, including initially performing readiness work, for all ESG reports. This will include information and data gathering, content development and external assurance.

  • Ensure alignment with ESG disclosure requirements and best practices; identifying potential challenges and proactively managing them to ensure on time and quality deliverables.

  • Provide foresight and advise on necessary actions regarding new ESG reporting and disclosure trends and requirements that may impact the company.

  • Create internal alignment and awareness within the functions and governance structures regarding the preparation of annual reports and other submissions, reporting process, reporting requirements and action plans to improve ESG reporting and disclosure.

  • Collaborate closely with the business and key internal leaders, data owners, technical functions, internal audit and external assurance providers to develop and maintain a well-controlled, standardized internal reporting processes for ESG. Ensure accurate and timely reporting and disclosure of the annual ESG data and information.

  • Work with business owners to address any potential control gaps and related remediation efforts, as applicable.

  • Liaise with key internal cross-functional stakeholders as well as internal and external auditors.

  • Manage multiple and complex internal and external ESG information requests, ensuring quality of deliverables align with company standards and positions, and ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.

  • Continuously work toward improving the ESG reporting processes and related internal control environment to ensure ESG data reliability and accuracy.

  • Exhibit strong project management skills with the ability to hold oneself and others accountable to deadlines.

  • Preparation of ESG updates for various governance groups.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • 10+ years experience in accounting, compliance or regulatory reporting roles.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required. MBA is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of SEC financial reporting requirements, PCAOB compliance standards, Sarbanes Oxley, COSO, and IT audit concepts.

  • Excellent project management skills and an ability to manage multiple complex projects and diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable information and plans.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in a matrix environment with multiple customers and evaluators.

  • Excellent influencing and leadership skills.

  • Detail oriented, self-motivated with the ability to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
