A DAY IN THE LIFE

In this role, you will

  • Provide support and guidance to all Escrow associates

  • Complete administrative duties such as; approve timecards, write performance documentation, facilitate meetings,

and create annual reviews

  • Support and perform associate training in various work types

  • Collaborate with other departments to discuss and resolve complex loan issues

  • Monitor work volumes, assign and adjust work types or production to meet department needs

  • Review and resolve all open client requests within SLAs; provide detailed explanation of resolution

  • Review loan data to validate tax, hazard and other escrowed items

  • Research illogical collection amounts, due dates, or large changes in payment

  • Document findings by adding notes to the loan

  • Complete the steps to process the escrow analysis and create a change in monthly payment

  • Process requests received from the mortgage holder, clients, or other departments

  • Perform second-review quality checks on work completed; validation of processors research

  • Create and review edit reports to identify issues and workflow needs

  • Update or create training, procedures, and job aids as needed

  • Identify areas for improvement and assist management with action plan

  • Complete various complex tasks within the department

WHO YOU ARE

You possess

  • Customer Service, Research and Financial Services experience is required

  • Advanced knowledge of mortgage servicing systems, investor guidelines, and state and federal guidelines

  • Ability to provide clear and concise feedback to team members, both written and verbal

  • Robust analytical abilities and thought process; these skills will assist you with researching loan issues and identifying areas for improvement

  • Strong attention to detail; you will use this talent to maintain our quality standards

  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, especially the ability to meet tight deadlines for our clients.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

DETAILED JOB DUTIES

  • Provide leadership; develop growth opportunities within the Escrow Department

  • Handle administrative functions related to Human Resources, e.g., scheduling, time off reports, performance reviews and disciplinary actions

  • Implement and monitor key controls; manage appropriate operational risks

  • Regularly review departmental workflows, performance impacts and implementation of new processes and strategies that affect the Escrow Department

  • Establish group policies and procedures, and recommend strategies and priorities for supporting the SLA deliverables

  • Prepare or review various Escrow Department reports, forms, correspondence, e-mail messages, logs, and budget

  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

  • All other duties assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.

  • Knowledge of mortgage servicing systems, investor guidelines, and mortgage insurance guidelines preferred.

  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience needed.

  • Possess 4 to 8 years of experience in mortgage loan servicing preferably with 2 plus years escrow experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

  • Working knowledge of escrow functions relating to the mortgage servicing industry

  • Ability to successfully prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Inquisitive, problem-solver, analytical mind-set, organization skills and excellent follow-up skills

  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to provide training, display and instill strong work ethic, and implements best practices

  • Data entry and 10 key calculator skills

  • Practical use with personal computer including excel, word, power point, and internet research

  • Responsive and open to change in processes, ability to provide clear direction and possess good management skills

  • Associates degree highly recommended

  • Supervisory or team lead experience highly recommended

Reconciliation of disbursements on tax bills. * Responsible for proper records storage processes/tracking pertaining to disbursement, tax bill, and tax report storage. * Keeps well informed of taxing authority due dates including any changes or late release issues. * Request/monitor approvals to pay taxes on loans with disbursement stops. * Processing of all incoming faxes and mail. * All other duties as assigned.
