Amazon's Employee Services Technology (ES Tech) team is building a HR Contact Management solution on Salesforce Service Cloud. We are onboarding new programs across globe onto this platform. ES Tech will enable employee self-sufficiency by providing simple, intuitive self-service tools across devices using communities, lightening, and other Salesforce next gen technologies. We will implement the overall self-service strategy and user experience for our employees and partners by integrating it with other Amazon cross systems and platforms like telephony, content management system (CMS), and analytics ensuring consistent global experience.

Amazon's ES Tech team is looking for a hands-on, experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to help develop our complex HR organization into the largest and most innovative Salesforce (SFDC) implementation in Amazon. The person will manage implementation of multiple projects making sure customer strategic goals, requirements are delivered with quality, ensuring a scalable, extensible, and maintainable solution with all cross system integrations.

We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable and confident in their expertise on the Salesforce platform and has the ability to share, teach and guide technical team members to the best design and architecture. As a Technical Architect, you will own and execute HR software and service delivery initiatives globally to build scale, efficiency, and a great customer experience. You will work directly with the technical leads from multiple workstreams to ensure best practices are used and that approved designs are scalable and supportable in the long term. You will define and implement processes to assure the platform architecture is aligned with the SFDC technical roadmap and our business stakeholders' feature roadmap. You will also drive automation of processes, develop new applications, and manage the integrations to our various business systems for our Salesforce.com (SFDC) environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of all design and technical architecture aspects of Salesforce.com, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, AppExchange products, and custom code standards

  • Translate business requirements into logical, component-based technical designs

  • Responsible for developing standards for development in Visualforce, Apex, Java, Lightning Components, AJAX, AngularJS, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions

  • Technical leadership, setting best practices including integration, application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems) and management of technical debt

  • Work closely with the Solution Architect and architecture office stakeholders to seek out ways to utilize Salesforce to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace

Responsibilities * Manage the lifecycle of case management technology including customer experience, vision, strategy, and goals. * Collaborate with business teams to define the product roadmap and balance business priority against cost, risk, and system capabilities. * Define and deliver key performance indicators and/or success metrics for goals and features. * Recommend future system features and/or functionality based on business needs, voice of the customer, and/or new technical capabilities. * Author documents including business cases and work orders for new technology investments and resources, monthly or quarterly business reviews, and papers that describe the vision of your product. * Develop business requirements and user stories that can be used to create specifications and architecture for your product. * Lead discussions of complex business problems with cross functional groups from all levels including senior leadership, subject matter experts, architects, and developers. * Build trust through strong, long-term relationships with cross-functional business and engineering teams * Mentor team members and provide feedback to help them develop * Bachelor's Degree * 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology * Experience with end to end product delivery * Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition * Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product * Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product * Knowledge of Salesforce, preferably Service Cloud * MBA or Master's degree * Excellent communication and negotiation skills and able to interact with staff/colleagues of varying levels. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to use metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions. * Experience translating customer needs into requirements.
