Amazon Employee Services Technology (ES Tech) is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical to lead the definition and implementation of case management capabilities for our business customers. Our goal is to enable Human Resources to deliver a frustration free experience to Amazon's global workforce. To help meet this goal, you will have the autonomy to define the technical strategy and roadmap for your product(s) and will work closely with engineering to drive execution.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter, be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end-to-end, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment. You will be passionate about your work, self-motivated, detail oriented, and have excellent problem solving abilities. You will work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints.


  • Manage the lifecycle of case management technology including customer experience, vision, strategy, and goals.

  • Collaborate with HR teams to define the product roadmap and balance business priority against cost, risk, and system capabilities.

  • Define and deliver key performance indicators and/or success metrics for goals and features.

  • Recommend future system features and/or functionality based on business needs, voice of the customer, and/or new technical capabilities.

  • Author documents including business cases and work orders for new technology investments and resources, monthly or quarterly business reviews, and papers that describe the vision of your product.

  • Develop business requirements and user stories that can be used to create specifications and architecture for your product.

  • Lead discussions of complex business problems with cross functional groups from all levels including senior leadership, subject matter experts, architects, and developers.

  • Build trust through strong, long-term relationships with cross-functional business and engineering teams

  • Mentor team members and provide feedback to help them develop

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, preferably Service Cloud.

  • MBA or Master's degree.

We will implement the overall self-service strategy and user experience for our employees and partners by integrating it with other Amazon cross systems and platforms ensuring a consistent global experience. Amazon's ES Tech team is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to align customer vision to technical solution, defining program/project strategies using Salesforce platform and technologies. The person will manage implementation of application tracking engine integrating multiple employee on-boarding applications in Amazon. Making sure customer strategic goals and requirements are delivered with quality, ensuring a scalable, extensible, and maintainable solution with all cross system integrations. This role is inherently cross-functional and you will be expected to regularly present to leadership on the overall status of key strategic initiatives, overall project risks and articulate recommended mitigation paths. We're looking for someone who possesses a solid TPM background, has lead medium/large projects in the past, and has technical background and experience (Salesforce experience ideal but not mandatory). We're looking for someone who can keep their eye on the ball and not let anything fall off the radar. Being able to deal with ambiguity, anticipate bottlenecks and escalations, set realistic (yet aggressive) expectations, and clearly communicate to all levels of stakeholders are key requirements. * 7+ years of relevant engineering experience * Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules * 5+ years of technical program management experience * Partner with product managers and determine business requirements, and then convert them into technical specifications and solutions * Thinking big and working with senior leadership, business stakeholders and development teams to define vision, strategy and requirements * Delivering results by driving execution of programs spanning multiple teams from design to roll out * Being resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities * Able to anticipate, proactively manage the risks and escalate appropriately * Manage medium to large technical projects with minimal supervision * Write documentation and test plans demonstrating excellent written and oral communication skills * 10+ years of relevant engineering experience * Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules * 5+ years of technical program management experience * Strong customer focus and ability to demonstrate pragmatic decision-making * MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience * Superior project management and organizational skills * Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, high quality document and report preparation * Experience delivering innovative experiences * Experience in non-technical aspects including idea generation, business analysis, and process optimization * Experience with agile or other program management methodologies, Project Management / ITIL * Able to deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Creative critical thinker with experience in making implementation trade offs * Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to all organizational levels Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
