This job is primarily responsible for maintaining the organization's application, web, and database services to ensure performance and stability of business applications. This job will work independently and may require general direction from experienced IT Programmers and/or System Administrators. Incumbents will demonstrate aptitude and progress towards learning application and/or coding patterns and implementing changes/patterns into application and/or code base.
In this role you will:
Develop and maintain an understanding of application dependencies, workflows, integrations, and processes surrounding application.
Monitor application, web, and database servers and detect patterns related to performance; reporting issues with database server to ensure timely fix.
Maintain web sites requiring periodic changes.
Maintain Windows services including scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting.
Transmit and receive files and tables to and from 3rd parties.
Archive and store files and reports for business users.
Elevate code to test and production environments.
Upload files to web sites.
Deploy/Elevate changes to SQL databases with the permission and assistance of the DBA or system administrator.
Run update queries after changes are deployed to production databases if needed as directed.
Run standalone programs to complete business data processes.
Provide tier-1 end-user support
Develop and maintain documented code base and/or system documentation and logs
Other duties as assigned.
Here's what you'll need to be considered:
Required -- Bachelor's degree in computer related field, or equivalent experience and training.
Required -- None
Preferred -- Experience on Agile Development Projects; industry specific experience.
Working knowledge of SQL, database servers, and Windows servicing.
Knowledge appropriate to perform job.
Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.
Effective listening skills with ability to interpret and share information clearly and concisely.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and manage multiple demands while staying within established timelines.

Ability to participate in on call rotation.
Here's some additional things you need to know:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Travel, travel for project work, meetings and trainings will be less than 5% of the employee's total work days.
