Position Details:

  • Title: ERP Functional Analyst (D365 - Supply Chain Management)
  • Schedule: 8:30 am
  • 5:00 pm, M-F
  • Location: Gibbstown, NJ (08027) - this position requires onsite presence with a hybrid option. (1 day/week after 90 days).

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced ERP Functional Analyst to join our mid-sized manufacturing company. The ERP Functional Analyst will focus on Supply Chain Management (SCM) and is responsible for managing Global ERP Systems with multiple locations in the US, Europe and other satellite offices. This includes the current D365 FO Ecosystem with all its third-party tools. The ERP Functional Analyst will also help with global D365 projects primarily in a techno-functional role. Responsibilities include designing, developing, customizing, and integrating solutions and support the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. Reporting to the ERP Manager, this individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, analyze technical feasibility, and implement effective solutions to enhance our organization's operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand the functional & technical requirements; scope out modifications and custom development.

  • Identify areas of business where D365 can be better utilized.

  • Manage D365 & AX support activities:

  • All aspects of D365 Applications, environments, and all add-on applications

  • Oversees multiple international D365 partners and D365 add-on partners

  • Prioritize D365 needs that arise from business using internal D365 team and leveraging external partners and consultants as necessary

  • Testing and quality assurance: Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to conduct unit testing, system testing, and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.

  • Test and upgrade D365 FO to newer versions.

  • Maintenance and support: Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing Dynamics 365 F&O solutions, addressing user requests and resolving issues in a timely manner.

  • Provides support with incident response, problem resolution, disaster recovery and support tickets.

  • Act as an in-house Functional Support point-of-contact for our internal ERP system.

  • Performs data migrations to Dynamics 365.

  • Maintain integrations to third party applications, for example TrueCommerce for EDI, Avalara etc.

  • Maintain F&O environments

  • UAT and Production.
  • Document Changes in D365.

  • Identify Service Packs Needed and when they should be implemented.

  • Institute Change Control practices.

  • Set Keystone guidelines and best practices, to promote a healthy and stable D365 (& legacy AX2009) Ecosystem.

  • Other duties and projects as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of D365 Functional experience with an overall functional understanding of D365.

  • Demonstrated "hands-on" D365 functional understanding.

  • Previous Experience in a lead consultant role.

  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O/SCM architecture, data models, and security models as well a general data base design.

  • Experience participating in Work Scoping & Estimation.

  • Familiarity with integration patterns and technologies, such as Data Entities, OData, API integration, and Microsoft Azure integration services.

  • Demonstrated Project management skills; proven ability to execute projects independently and parallel with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • High attention to detail and committed to a high level of accuracy.

  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.

  • Travel to remote sites when required.

  • Availability to be on call to provide support services during off hours as needed.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience working in manufacturing environment.

  • Convert functional requirements to technical specifications and design documents.

  • X++ expertise.

  • Technical Design, develop, validate and support enhancements, customizations, reports, and integrations for D365 F&O & add-on's. This includes developing new functionalities, customizing existing modules, and extending the platform's capabilities through code development.

  • Develops customized Dynamics 365 solutions, configures and administers D365 F&O integrations and data management.

  • Experience with .NET, C#, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, JavaScript, HTML, SSRS, SSIS, and SQL.

  • Experience with migrating from AX.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Master's Degree preferred.

  • Business Process or IT specific certifications a plus.

  • Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk for extended periods of time; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.

  • Work Environment: This position requires one to mainly work both in an office environment; intermittently in a warehouse, production, or lab environment. Safety gear is required when working in certain areas of facilities.
